Jasmine Flowers and Spring Blossoms
We love this time of the year when it's just so right to liberally spritz your home with the scent of flowers and blooms. Diffusers, scented candles and room sprays are a great way to lift your spirits, use them to create background scent (diffusers) or atmosphere (candles) or if you're like me - get blasting with the room sprays.
The name Jasmine is derived from the Persian yasmin which means "a gift from God" so named because of the intense fragrance of the blooms. There are over 300 species of the plant that occur mainly in the tropical and warm temperate regions of the world, although a few are found in countries with cold winters. The scent rising off the petals is sweet and intoxicating. Did you know that more than five million flowers must be gathered to produce one kilo of what is known as "pure jasmine absolute".
