Goat's Milk


Caprae lac (AKA goat milk) is a skin care ingredient that soothes and conditions. It contains antioxidants, fatty acids and lactic acid bacteria.

The lactic acid, an alpha hydroxy acid, is naturally occurring in Goat's Milk and an ingredient that gently exfoliates your skin. The other component properties work with one another to keep skin balanced, soothed, soft and protected from the visible damage that harmful external aggressors cause. Beyond this, studies show caprae lac has antimicrobial activity that provide a naturally occurring preservative to your products.

Properties of Goats Milk Soap

Goat milk is rich in fatty acids and cholesterol, which make up a large portion of the skin membrane. A lack of these components in your skin can lead to dryness and irritation. Furthermore, the milk is a good source of vitamin A, shown to have anti-aging properties, and is also a good source of selenium, a mineral shown to support a healthy skin membrane and proven to even improve psoriasis symptoms.

Goat's Milk is gentle and contains probiotics like lactobacillus which has been shown to have anti-inflammatory effects and this is proven to prevent excess oil production and clogged pores (balancing oily skins). At the same time it is important to protect your skins lipid barrier to prevent water loss. Those with dry skin including psoriasis and eczema, often have lower levels of lipids, such as cholesterol, ceramides, and fatty acids.
