Delivery Service Information and Updates

A small miracle has happened. We actually can't quite believe it. A part consignment of Marseille soap from Provence has just arrived. We honestly thought we would never see it! Sandra has sorted everything out BY HERSELF and it's in the warehouse now. 

WE ARE OPEN and able to operate in a restricted way. We have only ONE person in the warehouse managing the order operations single handedly THANK YOU SANDRA all other parts of the business are being handled from home. In this way we are minimising movement and contact etc.

We will continue to do this as long as it is safe to do so and we are able to do so. We use Royal Mail and Parcel Force, both of these delivery services are currently operating. You may find that deliveries are taking a bit longer than normal.

We are taking every precaution. We sanitise the front door as a matter of routine on entering and leaving and after delivery collections. We are also regularly handwashing. 

If there are any issues with orders that you place we will keep you informed and please be reassured that if we are unable to fulfill your order for whatever reason you will receive a refund.

Other Delivery information

Our main couriers are ROYAL MAIL BUSINESS POST and ParcelForce for any orders over 2kg. We may also use other couriers from time to time. Orders are generally despatched from the warehouse on a Monday or a Thursday (during busy periods this will be increased to other days too) orders are packed by hand by Lizzy and Sandra (ta dah!). 

Free Standard UK delivery on orders over £50 

For a limited time we are offering FREE delivery on all orders over £50 (for UK standard delivery). If your order is over £50 you will automatically be offered free shipping at the checkout page. 

For orders less than £50, standard UK postage and packing is £3.95

Frenchsoaps.co.uk will aim to deliver any item in stock within 10 working days of accepting your order, unless otherwise stated on this web site. If payment has been made by cheque, we wait for clearance before despatch. Delivery dates are not guaranteed, unless we have stated otherwise in writing, although we shall make every reasonable effort to achieve this. Our normal delivery service is with DPD. We use DHL couriers for very heavy orders or overseas orders. If you are not home during the day, we suggest you provide us with a work or other address if it is more convenient. This will assist us in ensuring a timely delivery.

Next Day Delivery (UK) unfortunately not available at the moment

We do not operate a Next Day Delivery service - however if you have an urgent order please contact us as we may be able to help. 

European Deliveries - £13

We have been working on trying to make our shipping to European countries more cost effective and can now offer a shipping rate of £13 for any order UNDER 2kg via Royal Mail International. We are really pleased about this! For orders over 2kg weight we will unfortunately have to charge more and if this is the case we will contact you prior to shipping.

Specific custom requirements for your chosen country will be the customers responsibility.

We cannot ship overseas any product that contains alcohol (such as diffusers, fragrances, pillow perfumes, home perfumes etc). We can through special arrangement arrange for such products to be shipped through specialist couriers this will be arranged on a bespoke basis for you but please note this can be expensive.

 

Australia and New Zealand Deliveries - £45 

 

We have had to increase the set rate for Australia and New Zealand to £45 as we have found that with orders of lots of products this is a more realistic price. As above with European orders we can deliver non alcohol based products (see below) and the shipping rate is automatically set at £45. For small parcels where the cost for overseas shipping is significantly less than £45 we will refund the difference to you dependant on costs of posting at the time. Please contact us for more information, we will do our very best to get your order to you in the most cost effective way and its always nice to get a refund! We are sorry that we can't be more accurate at the checkout point for you - this is because the weight of your order has a big impact on price. Usually if your order weighs less than 1 kg then you will receive some refund - but this will vary on actual weight and destination. 

We use DHL for most overseas shipping, we occasionally use Royal Mail.

Other countries

We are very sorry but we are currently unable to ship to the USA or Canada. We are sorry to all our lovely American and Canadian customers who we love so much. Costs have gone up dramatically for insurance and this prevents us from offering services to these countries. 

We have found that it is increasingly expensive to send orders to the Middle East, Asia and China and it is virtually impossible for us to estimate the shipping fee on our website ordering process. If you would like to place an order with us for a destination that is not currently available on our website please email us and we will be able to get a shipping quote for you.
