Geodesis

Fragrance Through Origin

Founded in 1996 in Brittany, Geodesis creates home fragrances inspired by the plants, flowers, woods and resins associated with different regions of the world.

Rather than building collections around abstract names or seasonal trends, the house begins with place. Bergamot leads towards Calabria, black tea towards China, patchouli towards Sumatra, neroli towards Morocco and tuberose towards Mexico. Fragrance is understood through origin.

This approach gives the collection a distinctive character. The fragrances do not simply smell pleasant; they feel connected to somewhere. Each one seeks to capture a material in the landscape from which it is most naturally associated, creating a range that is both evocative and recognisable.

Why Geodesis Matters

Many home fragrance brands are built around decoration, fashion or mood, Geodesis takes a different approach.

The collection is organised around scented materials and their origins, allowing fragrance to be understood through geography, botany and character rather than marketing concepts. This gives the range a clarity that is often missing in contemporary home fragrance.

For users it creates a more intuitive way to choose scent. Rather than selecting a fragrance because of a name alone, they can explore the atmosphere created by bergamot, fig, jasmine, patchouli, oud, black tea or neroli and understand the qualities each material brings to a space.

A French Fragrance House

Produced in Vannes, Brittany, Geodesis reflects a distinctly French approach to fragrance.

The presentation is understated, the compositions are balanced and the emphasis remains firmly on the fragrance itself. Candles, reed diffusers and fragrance oils are all developed around the same core philosophy, ensuring consistency across the collection.

This coherence is one of the brand's greatest strengths. The candle, diffuser and oil are not separate products sharing a label; they are different expressions of the same fragrance identity.

Built Around Materials

Geodesis is best understood through the materials that inspire it.

A citrus fragrance such as bergamot brings brightness and freshness. Black tea creates a quieter, more contemplative atmosphere. Fig tree feels green and sun-warmed, while patchouli introduces depth and earthiness. Floral notes such as jasmine, neroli and tuberose bring entirely different characters to a room.

The collection encourages a more thoughtful approach to fragrance, one that focuses on the qualities of the material itself and the atmosphere it creates within the home.

Why We Stock Geodesis

At French Soaps, we do not view Geodesis as simply another home fragrance brand.

Its place within our collection reflects the same principles that guide our approach to soap. Origin matters. Materials matter. Formulation matters.

Like the savonneries and specialist makers we work with, Geodesis has a clear point of view and a strong sense of identity. The fragrances are distinctive, the quality is consistently high and the collections remain rooted in substance rather than trend.

For us, it represents a thoughtful and genuinely French approach to fragrance.
