A Family Brand with a Clear Philosophy
to work towards a more authentic, healthier, and more natural everyday life.
"As an artisanal, family-owned company, we believe products should be effective without being overpowered, and carefully adapted to individual needs. Our approach encourages conscious use, respecting physical integrity while minimising environmental impact."
Every formula reflects a guiding principle:
eco-responsible products should be handcrafted and reduced to the essentials.
Mas du Roseau is a French, family-run brand crafting natural soaps for home & body inspired by the traditions of Provence. Founded in 1983 by Pascale, and Alsatian lady living in Provence, the brand is committed to artisanal production, ethical formulation, and a more authentic, healthier approach to everyday care.
Rooted in heritage yet guided by modern responsibility, Mas du Roseau creates simple, effective products designed to be used daily — essentials that respect both skin and environment.
Provençal Craftsmanship Since 1983
Living with her husband in a traditional Provençal farmhouse, surrounded by reeds, fields, and the natural rhythms of rural life inspired Pascale to create her products.
Firmly committed to manual and artisanal production methods and traditional marseille soap making, preserving the human expertise at the heart of her products. With a slower, more considered approach to creating products that are gentle, reliable, and honest.
Thoughtful Formulas, Reviewed Every Year
The formulas are all developed and produced in her own workshop in St Chamas, and are reviewed annually with a focus on quality, ethics, and continuous improvement.
Actively prioritising healthy components and raw materials — not only to respect your skin, but also to protect the wellbeing of the people who manufacture our products. All raw materials are also sourced locally where possible with 80% or these for product and packaging coming from France.

The Promise
Mas du Roseau stands for authenticity, craftsmanship, and everyday luxury —
French heritage soaps handcrafted with integrity, designed for daily life, and created with respect for people, skin, and planet.
Why we work with Mas du Roseau
French Soaps UK works with a small number of soapmakers whose work reflects genuine craft, thoughtful formulation, and a clear point of view about what soap should be.
Mas du Roseau is included for a particular reason. Their work is guided by restraint.
Many modern personal care products have become increasingly elaborate, built around long ingredient lists and layered claims. Mas du Roseau takes a quieter approach. Each formula begins by asking what can be removed, leaving only what is necessary for the soap to perform well and remain comfortable on the skin.
This discipline is evident across the range. The formulations are simple but carefully balanced. Fragrances are present but measured. Colours come from mineral and plant-derived materials rather than decorative additives.
The result is soap that feels deliberate and composed rather than engineered.
