We are delighted to be working with Maison Berthe Guilhem, a family savonnerie in the Pyrenees. They hand make all their soaps using a minimum of 99% natural ingredients, 70% or more of these being organic (for organic certification only 20% is required).

Still using the recipes from their grandmothers original kitchen remedies the family combine these with current naturopathic know how. Specialising in products containing Organic Alpine Goat's Milk, the family source all their ingredients and create all their own tinctures and blends. This brand really do focus on the finest ingredients that have purpose.
COLD SAPONIFICATION
Where traditional Marseille Soap is made by heating the oils in a cauldron, Maison Berthe Guilhem use the natural heat generated when the 'soda' is mixed with the oils to create the saponification. By not using any heat the natural properties of each ingredient are preserved to the highest possible level ensuring that the quality of each soap is as good as it can be.
WHY GOAT'S MILK?
Goat's Milk has been used for thousands of years to treat and nourish dry and sensitive skin. It is highly regarded for almost all skin types as it has the same pH as skin and is full of nourishing ingredients such as AHA, lactic acid, (both natural and gentle exfoliators) selenium, and vitamins A through E that help support your skin's microbiome. Basically a delight for sensitive and irritated skin.
