How to recognise Original Provendi Wall Arms and Rotating Soaps in the UK

Provendi Rotating Soaps and Wall Arms - Original, Iconic.... and copied

But how do you tell the difference between a genuine Provendi product, a fake or a copy?

Rotating Wall Arms

Provendi make three wall arms: Chrome (shiny), Brushed Steel (matt) and Brass (bronze). They are robust, hard wearing and will not rust or begin to decay for years.

The wall arms come with raw plugs and screws.
ProVenDi is engraved in an arc above the arm. France is engraved underneath.

If it doesn't specify Chrome, Brushed Steel or Brass finish then what is it? We've had people contact us, who have reported their Amazon amongst others, purchased have been 'flimsy', rusted within days, not had any text engraved, or it has been stamped on. We've had other contact us for screws and fittings or to check the authenticity of what they bought as they were disappointed.

Rotating Wall Soaps

First off check the weight that is specified. Copies and fakes are normally smaller making them instantly less economical. A true Provendi Soap will be listed as weighing 295g.

Genuine Provendi Soaps also contain a plastic core - this helps the soap rotate evenly and ensures it keeps working until it really is used up. Copies and fakes miss this out.

There is a seam around the edge where the soap is pressed and shaped. The soaps are an even oval shape. They have PROVENDI stamped into them (not in a box). Watch one being made here:

Provendi only make 6 fragrances of rotating soaps:

Other Brands that make Rotating Wall Arms and Soaps

Some brands have made their own version of the wall arm, and make rotating soaps too. All these legitimate copies will say they fit the original wall arm. We sell rotating soaps from la Maison du Savon de Marseille, they are smaller, do not have the plastic core, fit the Provendi Wall Arms and make a great addition to our product range through the extra fragrances they offer. Mauris Fabre is another legitimate option too although not one we stock at French Soaps.

Our aim in this article is to help you understand the differences to support your buying decisions. To know if you are buying a fake or a legitimate alternative. To understand the credibility of the original and iconic Provendi product.

If you have any questions then do get in contact with us.

French Soaps is an official UK importer of Le Provendi and we are the only stockist of the full range.
