chrome-wall-arms-FrenchSoapsUK-Marseille Soap

A rotating soap wall arm keeps solid soap clean, dry and mess-free. Because the bar remains suspended in the air rather than sitting in a dish, water drains away and the soap dries naturally between uses. In everyday household use a single soap can deliver around 800 hand washes before replacement is needed.

Chrome is the classic finish for these traditional French soap holders. The polished surface pairs naturally with taps, sinks and stainless fittings, making it an easy addition to kitchens, utility rooms and bathrooms.

This simple and highly practical design has been used in French schools, workshops and kitchens since the mid-twentieth century. A stainless steel stem passes through the centre of the soap bar, allowing it to rotate freely while remaining fixed securely to the wall.

Each chrome wall arm is supplied with raw plugs, matching screws and a fragranced soap ready for installation.

  • The Iconic Rotating Soap Wall Arm

The rotating soap wall arm most people recognise today was designed by Provendi in the 1950s with a simple brief: to have a soap that is always dry and close at hand.

Originally developed for French schools, the design kept soap hygienic, secure and always available for use throughout the day.

  • Where Rotating Soap Wall Arms Are Used

Rotating soap wall arms were originally developed for French schools, where large numbers of children needed reliable access to soap throughout the day. The simple design kept the soap secure, hygienic and always available for use.

Today the same practical holder is widely used beside kitchen sinks, in workshops, garden sheds and utility rooms, as well as in gastro-pubs, bistros and cafés where a durable, mess-free soap solution is needed behind the sink.

We also supply rotating soap holders to primary schools in the UK, where the design remains valued for the same reasons it was adopted decades ago: reliability, hygiene and simplicity.

  • Simple Installation, Standard Fixings

Each rotating soap wall arm is supplied with a mounted soap bar and colour-matched screws with raw plugs for fixing directly to the wall.

Once installed, the arm remains in place and the soap is simply replaced when the bar is finished.

Compatible rotating soaps from several French producers fit the same stainless steel stem.

French Soaps UK also stocks replacement soaps and spare parts for the Provendi arms.
