A timeless essential, this Authentic Aleppo Soap represents the original form of soapmaking — a pure, natural creation that has remained unchanged for over two thousand years.
Handcrafted in Syria between December and March, immediately following the olive harvest, it’s made by master soapmakers who slowly cook the oils in traditional cauldrons before leaving each bar to age and harden for nine months. The result is a living soap — golden on the outside, green at the heart — that embodies the care, patience, and integrity of true craftsmanship.
Formulated with olive oil and a touch of laurel oil, this soap gently cleanses while preserving the skin’s natural moisture balance. Olive oil softens and nourishes, while laurel oil contributes its naturally antiseptic and restorative properties — long valued since antiquity for their ability to soothe and protect.
Free from palm oil, colourants, and synthetic fragrance, this hypoallergenic soap is ideal for all skin types, including dry and sensitive skin. It’s also traditionally placed in linen cupboards to naturally scent and protect fabrics, making it as practical as it is pure.

I have spent fruitless hours in shops, reading the ingredients of various "organic soaps" which have so many different additives that I gave up and walked away empty handed.
I have a very reactive skin with itchy eczema patches appearing out of nowhere, so I hope the Aleppo soap will help me soothe it. It is early days yet, but I do not plan to buy any other soap, because this is the purest I have found anywhere in the world.

I love this soap as it smells very nice, it makes my skin very soft and it’s natural. However, every time I finish using it, I have to wash it to get the bubbles out, and then pat it dry with a towel. I like to store it in a wardrobe.
