This traditional soap contains just four natural ingredients — olive oil, laurel berry oil, water, and sodium hydroxide — with no added colours, fragrances, or preservatives.
Olive oil provides moisture and softness, laurel oil purifies and soothes, and the result is a pure, biodegradable soap suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin.
Timeless, pure, and hand crafted in Aleppo City, this authentic Aleppo Soap is made following a 2,000-year-old artisanal method in a cauldron — one of the oldest soapmaking traditions in the world. Handcrafted using only olive oil, laurel berry oil, water, and lye, it delivers a unique balance of purity, protection, and natural care.
Rich in olive oil, the soap gently softens, nourishes, and protects the skin’s natural barrier, while laurel oil brings purifying, soothing benefits thanks to its high concentration of essential fatty acids, antioxidants, and vitamins. The result is a mild, hypoallergenic soap that helps calm irritation and balance even the most sensitive or reactive skin.
Each bar is produced between December and March immediately following the local olive harvest. The oils are slowly ‘baked’ in cauldrons for up to nine days. After pouring and hardening the soap is cut, stamped, and left to air dry naturally for nine months.

Quite a large chunk of soap on a rope which easily hangs from the shower tap. My husband has sensitive skin which tends to flake and since using this he has had a lot less problems. Lasts quite well and what we have done is stick the remnants of the old piece to the new soap..works a treat!

Love this soap. Repeat purchase. First one bought in Marseille! I used have all sorts of sensitivity problems due to additives in liquid soaps and hand creams. Just use this soap now and my hands are in excellent condition.
