How to Choose Your Laundry Soap

A Simple Laundry Principle

All our products rely on the same fundamental cleaning method:

soap binds to grease and dirt so it can be rinsed away with water.

This approach has been used for centuries and remains one of the simplest and most effective ways to clean textiles.

Traditional laundry soaps differ in composition, scent and washing style. The right choice depends on the fabrics you wash most often and the type of laundry routine you prefer.

Savon de Marseille Soap Flakes - Traditional laundry soap

Savon de Marseille flakes are made by grating traditional Marseille soap produced in cauldrons from vegetable oils.

They dissolve in hot water to create a simple soap detergent widely used for:

• everyday laundry
• delicate fabrics
• baby clothes
• hand washing

Because they contain no fragrance, enzymes or optical brighteners, they are often chosen by households seeking a minimalist laundry routine based on traditional soap.

Aleppo Soap Flakes - Olive and laurel oil laundry soap

Aleppo flakes follow the same principle as Marseille flakes but are made with olive oil and laurel oil.

Laurel oil contributes a distinctive herbal character and has long been valued for its natural deodorising properties.

They are particularly well suited to:

• delicate fabrics
• clothing worn close to the skin
• garments that benefit from natural freshness

Botanical Soap Flakes - Laundry soap with essential oils

Botanical flakes are made from cold-saponified vegetable oils and lightly fragranced with essential oils such as lavender, verbena, bergamot or rose geranium.

They provide the same soap-based washing method while adding a natural scent to laundry.

Suitable for:

• everyday clothing
• bed linen and towels
• households who enjoy lightly scented laundry

Ultra-Concentrated Laundry Powder - Modern soap-based detergent

This concentrated powder offers a simplified modern alternative.

Made from organic vegetable oils produced in France, it cleans efficiently even at lower temperatures and requires only a small dose per wash.

It is particularly suitable for:

• busy households
• frequent machine washing
• fragrance-free laundry routines
• low-temperature washing

A Practical Tip

In areas with hard water, adding white vinegar to the rinse compartment helps soften fabrics naturally and prevents mineral deposits building up in the washing machine.

Contrary to common myths, properly dissolved soap flakes do not damage washing machines when used with normal maintenance.
