Savonnerie Bleu Jaune

Small Batch Soap Making, Without Compromise

Savonnerie Bleu Jaune is an independent family soap maker built on a simple principle: quality comes first.

Founded by Bernard and Najet after beginning their journey selling soaps on local markets, the business has grown from humble beginnings into a respected Provençal savonnerie known for the quality of its ingredients, distinctive fragrances and attention to detail.

Today, alongside their daughter Fanny, the family continues to develop and manufacture every product within their own workshops, maintaining complete control over formulation, production and fragrance development.

Why Bleu Jaune Matters

Many soap brands focus on scale. Bleu Jaune focuses on refinement.

The company remains deliberately small, producing soaps in small batches with a team of only a handful of people. This allows the family to remain closely involved in every stage of production, from selecting raw materials to developing new fragrances and overseeing manufacture.

The result is a collection that feels personal, carefully considered and unmistakably independent.

Fragrance as a Signature

Fragrance sits at the heart of the Bleu Jaune collection. Rather than selecting fragrances from large commercial catalogues, the company works with an independent perfumer in Grasse to create bespoke compositions developed exclusively for the brand.

This commitment gives the soaps a distinctive identity and allows Bleu Jaune to offer fragrances that feel more refined and individual than those typically found within mass-produced soap collections.

The fragrances are not simply added to the soap. They are part of the character of the finished product.

Ingredients Chosen for Quality

Alongside fragrance, Bleu Jaune places particular importance on ingredient selection.

Vegetable oils, plant butters and other raw materials are chosen for their quality and performance rather than their cost. This approach reflects a broader commitment to creating soaps that feel generous, long-lasting and pleasurable to use.

The family remains closely involved in sourcing and formulation, ensuring that quality remains consistent from one batch to the next.

Handmade in Their Own Workshops

Every Bleu Jaune soap is produced in-house.

The soaps are poured, cut, finished and stamped by hand within the company's workshops, allowing the family to maintain direct oversight of the entire process. This level of involvement is increasingly rare within the soap industry and remains one of the defining characteristics of the brand.

The scale may be modest, but that is precisely where much of the appeal lies.

Why We Stock Bleu Jaune

At French Soaps, we have worked with Bleu Jaune for many years.

What first attracted us to the company was not marketing or packaging, but the quality of the soaps themselves. The fragrances felt more refined, the ingredients more carefully chosen and the products more thoughtfully made.

Among the makers we work with, Bleu Jaune is unique. Over the years, the relationship has evolved from retailer and supplier into genuine collaboration. Together we have developed a number of exclusive soaps and fragrances available only through French Soaps, drawing on Bleu Jaune's expertise in formulation and fragrance creation and our understanding of what our customers value most.

The result is a collection that could not exist without that partnership.

Today, we continue to value the same qualities that attracted us in the beginning: independence, craftsmanship and an unwavering focus on quality.

Bleu Jaune represents the kind of maker we are always looking to support — small enough to care deeply about every detail and skilled enough to make those details matter.
