DHL deliver Monday - Friday, at peak seasonal times and in some areas they deliver Saturday, this is not something in our control and do not advise you to rely on this. Use Royal Mail for weekend delivery.
Signed for - this is the same as Royal Mail tracked 24hr with the inclusion of a signature on delivery. These parcels will not be left if you are out.

Traditional Savon de Marseille – Olive Oil – 600g Cube
Traditional Savon de Marseille is proper soap, slowly cooked in large cauldrons using vegetable oils, soda, salt and water. It has no added fragrance, colour or preservatives, and the soda is consumed as the oils are turned into soap.
The 72% stamped into the bar refers to its net vegetable oil content after manufacture and is the traditional standard for Savon de Marseille.
It is also the most versatile soap in the world. Use it for washing your hands, face, body and hair, for shaving, or for cleaning makeup brushes and sponges. Rub it directly onto damp stains, collars and cuffs, use it to handwash clothes, or grate it into flakes and dissolve it for the washing machine.
Around your home it will wash dishes, sinks, worktops, cupboards, paintwork, windows and mirrors, as well as suitable floors. It can clean, silver, shoes and trainers, artists brushes, gardening tools and outdoor furniture, loosen a stubborn zip and help stop the bathroom mirror steaming up.
Then there are the traditional uses that sound less likely, but that customers continue to tell us work. Savon de Marseille is used on insect bites, bruises, to deter moths in wardrobes and keeping a piece under your pillow is an old French remedy for night cramps.
It is particularly useful for travel, camping and caravans. One small bar can be your body soap, laundry wash, washing-up soap, stain remover and general cleaner, with nothing to leak in your bag.
The bars, cubes, blocks and flakes are all the same soap, simply cut or shaved into different shapes and sizes. Choose a small bar for washing or travel, a traditional cube as an everyday all-rounder, a large block to cut at home, or ready-shaved flakes for laundry.
As Savon de Marseille is made in batches without added colour or stabilisers, some variation is completely normal. The oils, including differences between olive harvests, can affect the cooking and colour, while temperature and humidity during drying influence the texture and final finish. A pale or powdery bloom can also form as salts naturally move to the surface.
None of this affects the quality or usefulness of the soap. It is simply what happens when a traditional soap is allowed to vary rather than being altered to make every bar look identical.

I have been using some of your other laundry soap very successfully. Then I thought I would try the olive oil laundry flakes and they are even better. I'm still working out the best proportion of flakes to (boiling) water but so far all my laundry is spotless and smells fresh. So, thank you French Soaps. Just love your products.

I love this soap. I have the huge 600gm cube on my bath tub but this is handy for the sink. It doesn't even irritate my very sensitive face. You can use it for washing face, body, hair, clothes, teeth, dishes, leather, just about anything you can think of. It has an almost tarry smell which I really like. I prefer this 100% olive oil soap to the 72% olive oil soap Fer a Cheval makes. Lasts a long time too. Use it every day.

This is a lovely all-rounder soap. So far, I’ve used it to wash surfaces, wash hands, in the shower and bath, washing up, laundry… it doesn’t froth up when in the washing up water like ready made liquids - I grate it in - but it melts though stubborn baked on food and leaves ceramics and glassware sparkling. The scent is quite neutral (it reminds me of gift shops in Greece) and having used it over the last week, I’m feeling the house smells better too - far less chemically and more natural. My laundry feels and smells so much better and there’s been no residue. I’ve been using alongside the soda crystals (I use these anyway to help break down soap residue in my washing machine) - they definitely work better together. I have quite sensitive skin and can only use two types of laundry detergent but haven’t found this to be a trigger at all (I used a small bar first to try out before taking the leap to replacing all my cleaning products to this. The biggest difference I’ve found though is that my hands and skin are so much softer - it’s making me think twice about using anything else! Can’t recommend highly enough.

I made up this as a laundry detergent as instructed but the liquid has not turned to a gel. It has been 4 days now and I can see what looks like flakes at bottom half of litre jar. I used very hot water from a tap.......was this the problem rather than boiling water?

Sorry to read you have had issues with the flakes. Yes, you do need boiling water and to stir vigorously initially then keep stirring until they are fully discolved. It doesn't take long if the water is boiling.
