  • What Is Citronella?

    Citronella is an aromatic oil obtained from grasses in the Cymbopogon family. Its fragrance is bright, citrusy and strongly herbaceous rather than sweet like a lemon perfume. It has been used outdoors for generations and remains particularly popular for summer evenings, camping, caravanning, fishing, golf and travel.

  • What Is the Difference Between Citronella Soap and Citronella Spray?

    The citronella soap bars are fragranced vegetable-oil soaps for everyday hand and body washing. One is enriched with sweet almond oil and the other with shea butter. The Bleu Jaune spray is quite different: it contains 100% pure Java citronella oil and no added fragrance, water or filler. It is a light, fast-absorbing dry oil rather than a soapy or sticky spray.

  • How Do I Use Citronella Oil Spray?

    Spritz a small amount onto exposed arms or legs and rub it into the skin. It can also be sprayed onto bedding when travelling or sleeping with the windows open. The scent is deliberately strong because this is pure citronella oil, not a lightly fragranced body mist.
