About Pure Aleppo Soap

Handcrafted in Syria for over
1,300 years, authentic Aleppo soap (Savon d’Alep) is one of the world’s oldest
and purest cleansing bars. Made only with olive oil, laurel oil, water and lye,
this traditional soap is created using the same slow, artisanal methods
perfected in the ancient city of Aleppo.

Aged for up to nine months in
cool, airy cellars, each bar develops its signature golden exterior,
emerald-green core and naturally earthy, comforting aroma.

A Craft Passed Down Through
Generations

Traditional Aleppo Soaps are
precious soaps handmade in Syria following ancient and unchanged processes,
using only olive oil and laurel oils that are saponified between December and
March each year immediately following the Olive Harvest. Each bar is stamped by
the soapmaker and left to dry in tall towers, a process that gives Aleppo its
unmistakable look and exceptional quality.
