Stain Removing Liquid – Sommières Clay & Orange Oil – 250ml
The Traditional Way to Treat Stains
Before modern detergents were developed, stains were usually treated before washing using a small number of highly effective materials: soap, absorbent clays and alkaline salts.
This liquid stain remover brings together two of the most reliable of those methods — Marseille soap and Terre de Sommières clay.
Marseille soap dissolves grease and oily residues, while Sommières clay draws oils out of fibres. Orange essential oil helps break down stubborn greasy deposits so they can be lifted easily during washing.
Together they form a remarkably effective stain treatment that works directly on the fabric before it enters the wash.
Why It Works So Well
Marseille Soap (Olive Oil Soap)
One of the most effective natural grease removers. Soap molecules bind to oils and allow them to rinse away with water.
Terre de Sommières Clay
A highly absorbent mineral clay discovered near Montpellier that draws oils and pigments out of fabrics without damaging fibres.
Orange Essential Oil
Naturally rich in limonene, a citrus compound known for dissolving greasy residues.
This combination is particularly effective for stains containing oils, fats or pigments.

When to Choose the Liquid
Soap stain bars are excellent for larger stains or heavy fabrics.
The liquid version is particularly useful when precise treatment is needed for smaller stains, delicate fabrics or textured textiles where a bar cannot penetrate easily.
How to Use
Dampen the stained area and apply a small amount directly to the fabric.
Work gently into the fibres and leave for several minutes before washing.
For heavily soiled laundry a small capful can also be added to the wash.

Allergies mean I can't use conventional stain removers. With a large mud loving dog in the house this means marks can remain after washing in allergy-friendly laundry products. I was delighted to find that this product shifted a stubborn stain and actually seemed to improve the overall look of an item which had started to look dull.

I love this stuff its great. I keep a spray bottle with some diluted to target stains before being washed and I put some in the detergent draw as an extra boost when washing whites it work brilliantly.
