Fer à Cheval Fabric Softener is used in addition to your laundry detergent. It keeps your clothes soft and supple. Its antistatic effect makes ironing easier and leaves your laundry smelling of fresh sping air.
Fabric softeners and conditioners are two product names we often encounter on supermarket shelves. But is there really a difference between them?
Although the terms are different, both products share the same goal: to make laundry less rough and bring softness. However, they achieve this in distinct ways. Conditioners act on the hardness of the water by reducing limescale, which in turn makes fabrics feel softer. Fabric softeners, on the other hand, work directly on the fabric fibres to make the laundry more flexible and supple.
During a machine wash, detergent acts as a cleaning and stain-removal agent. However, detergent alone won’t provide your laundry with softness and flexibility. This is why using a fabric softener alongside detergent is beneficial for the following reasons:
- Neutralizes Residues: It neutralizes limescale salts and detergent residues.
- Adds Suppleness: It makes laundry more flexible by reducing rigidity between fibres.
- Reduces Static Electricity: This minimizes static, making ironing easier afterward.
- Strengthens Fibers: It coats fibers, making them more resistant.
- Speeds Up Drying: Reduces water retention, allowing faster drying.
- Sportswear and Waterproof Garments: To preserve their waterproof properties.
- Terrycloth and Towels: To maintain absorbency.
- Microfiber Fabrics: To avoid reducing their electrostatic charge.
- Wool and Silk: As they are best not washed in a machine.
99% of ingredients of natural origin.
Less than 5%: cationic surfactants; perfumes; allergenic fragrances: Amyl Cinnamal, Benzyl Salicylate, Geraniol, Linalool, Limonene.
Precautions: If medical advice is needed, have product container or label at hand. Keep out of reach of children. IF IN EYES: Rinse
cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing.
For machine washing (4.5kg): Pour 25ml of Fabric Softener into the designated compartment of your washing machine. For
hand washing: Mix 15ml of Fabric Softener with 5L of lukewarm water. Let your laundry soak, then rinse gently with clear water.
Important: Never pour directly onto fabrics.
Do not use on silk or wool.
