This product is flavoured with a lemon and contains naturally occurring aromatic compounds such as menthol and terpineol. These are present as part of the flavouring and are not added in isolation.

This is a standard precaution for products containing concentrated citrus and mint flavour components.

Most conventional toothpaste comes in multi-layer plastic tubes made from a combination of plastics and aluminium. These materials are fused together to protect the paste inside — which makes them extremely difficult to recycle. As a result, the vast majority of toothpaste tubes end up in landfill or incineration, where they can persist for decades.

There’s also the issue of water content. Traditional toothpaste is largely made up of water, which increases weight, requires preservatives, and adds to transport emissions — all for an ingredient that doesn’t actually clean your teeth.
