Why Buy Aleppo Soap?

Often described as the world’s oldest hard soap, Aleppo Soap has been made for over 1,300 years using just two natural ingredients: olive oil and laurel (bay) oil. According to historical accounts, Aleppo soap was prized throughout the ancient world, with legends even suggesting it was favoured by Cleopatra herself.

Naturally fragrance-free, pure and minimalist, Aleppo soap is widely recommended by dermatologists for sensitive, reactive and problem-prone skin. The varying percentages of laurel oil determine the soap’s strength, making different formulations suitable for different skin types — from dry and delicate to oily or blemish-prone — while remaining gentle enough for everyday use by the whole family.

Laurel (Bay) Oil is renowned for its natural antiseptic, antiviral and antifungal properties. Rich in lauric, oleic and linoleic acids, it helps to cleanse, soothe and rebalance the skin while supporting its natural barrier.
