Pyrenean Soap Flakes – Rose Geranium Essential Oil – 400g
Botanical Laundry Soap with Essential Oil
These botanical soap flakes are a traditional laundry soap made from cold-saponified vegetable oils, lightly fragranced with rose geranium essential oil.
Produced from organic sunflower and coconut oils, the soap cleans fabrics effectively while remaining gentle on fibres and skin. The flakes dissolve easily in warm water and are suitable for both machine washing and hand washing.
Because the formulation is based on true soap rather than synthetic detergents, it washes clothing thoroughly while avoiding optical brighteners, enzymes and artificial fragrance blends.
The Character of Rose Geranium
Rose geranium essential oil is valued for its soft floral and slightly green aroma, often used in traditional soaps and household preparations.
In laundry it leaves fabrics with a light, fresh fragrance that feels clean and natural rather than strongly perfumed. The scent is particularly well suited to garments worn close to the skin and to household textiles such as bed linen and towels.
Rose geranium soap flakes work especially well for:

• garments stored in wardrobes and drawers
Cold-Saponified Vegetable Soap
These flakes are produced by cold saponification, a traditional soapmaking method where vegetable oils react with alkali to form soap and naturally occurring glycerin.
The formulation combines:
• sunflower oil soap – supports fabric care and fibre softness
• coconut oil soap – provides effective cleansing power
• naturally retained glycerin – helps prevent fabrics becoming dry or brittle
The soap cleans by binding to dirt and oils so they can rinse away naturally in water.
Suitable for Everyday Laundry
These flakes can be used for:
• everyday clothing and household textiles
• delicate fabrics
• hand washing garments
• preparing traditional homemade liquid laundry soap
They dissolve easily in warm water and work well in both machine washing and hand washing.
Laundry Tips
For whitening or heavier cleaning, sodium percarbonate can be added to the wash.
White vinegar used occasionally as a rinse helps soften fabrics naturally and prevents mineral deposits forming in washing machines.

I have tried a different fragrance this time. The scent is at its strongest while I am making it into a gel. When I have used it in my laundry it is not as apparent but the washing is still nice and fresh.

Great soapflakes. This is my second bag .. it lasts so long. I love the smell of Rose Geranium .. all my bedding and towels smell great for days. The flakes combined with percarbonate, soda or the olive oil Marseille soap are great for whitening items.

Smells lovely though by the time you've rinsed the scent is gone. Didn't get rid of a few stains on a white shirt but I probably need to add sodium percarbonate as detailed in instructions. Otherwise very happy with it and am now a convert. Is also so much cheaper than regular laundry liquid.

A bit dubious about using this product but really wanted to steer away from strong chemicals for washing my clothes. Also bought the Bicarb for extra boost. So far really amazed, it does work really well. When clothes are dry there is a faint smell/ fragrance, and they are softer, they feel lovely and clean. This is a much gentler way of cleaning, just need to adjust to preparing the prep of the flakes to liquid beforehand.
