Pyrenean Soap Flakes – Verbena Essential Oil – 400g
These botanical soap flakes are a traditional laundry soap made from cold-saponified vegetable oils, lightly fragranced with fresh citrus essential oil from Litsea cubeba, often known for its bright verbena-like aroma.
Produced from organic sunflower and coconut oils, the soap cleans fabrics effectively while remaining gentle on fibres and skin. The flakes dissolve easily in warm water and are suitable for both machine washing and hand washing.
Because the formulation is based on true soap rather than synthetic detergents, it washes clothing thoroughly while avoiding optical brighteners, enzymes and artificial fragrance blends.
The Character of VerbenaLitsea cubeba essential oil is widely valued for its clean, bright citrus fragrance, often associated with verbena-scented soaps and household products.
In laundry it leaves fabrics with a light, uplifting scent that feels fresh rather than perfumed. Its naturally deodorising qualities make it particularly well suited to clothing that benefits from a clean, revitalising wash.
Verbena-scented soap flakes work especially well for:

These flakes are produced by cold saponification, where vegetable oils react with alkali to form soap and naturally occurring glycerin.
The formulation combines:
• sunflower oil soap – helps maintain softness of fabrics
• coconut oil soap – provides effective cleansing power
• naturally retained glycerin – helps prevent fibres becoming dry or brittle
The soap cleans by binding to dirt and oils so they can rinse away naturally in water.

They dissolve easily in warm water and work well in both machine washing and hand washing.
Laundry Tips
For whitening or heavier cleaning, sodium percarbonate can be added to the wash.
White vinegar used occasionally as a rinse helps soften fabrics naturally and prevents mineral deposits forming in washing machines.

Used for the first time, fabulous results my underwear came out noticeably softer, my trousers appeared blacker with everything clean and smelling lovely. Have tried many natural washing sheets but this surpassed everything else that I have tried.

I've been meaning to write a review for so long but these soap flakes are amazing! I use them diluted to 1 litre of water for laundry and I make the gel with less water to use as hand soap and shower gel- the smell is so fresh and uplifting without being overpowering. I save money on hand soap and shower gel and there is less plastic than throwing dispensers away every time. I love bar soap but the kiddos hate using it to wash their hands so this is win win! They get their gel and I don't have to worry about waste. The staff at french soaps are so lovely too... answered all my questions thoroughly and promptly even on a Sunday! Thank you so much for your wonderful products and customer service- it's a rarity these days!
